LOS ANGELES—The Southern California trafficker of counterfeit Bowflex and Malibu Pilates exercise equipment has been sentenced to more than two years in federal prison.

Prosecutors say 36-year-old Stanley Kuo Jua Yang imported huge shipping containers containing nearly $1 million worth of counterfeit merchandise.

Federal agents served a search warrant at Yang's business in Fountain Valley in 2010 and found additional counterfeit equipment.

They also found thousands of counterfeit Zumba and Core Rhythm exercise DVDs, more than 10,000 counterfeit Silhouette slim pants, and hundreds of counterfeit BMW navigation DVDs.

Yang was sentenced on Monday to 2 1/2 years in federal prison.
