NORTHBROOK, Ill., Oct. 31, 2012 /CNW/ - UL is notifying consumers and retailers that the USB Power Adaptors Model A1265 and identified below bear a counterfeit UL Mark for United States and Canada. The Adaptors have not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate Standards for Safety and it is unknown if these Adaptors comply with the safety requirements for the United States or Canada.

Note that the Model A1265 with the counterfeit UL Mark is similar to a Model A1265 that is authorized to bear the UL Mark. The counterfeit Model A1265 for use in Europe has Apple spelled Applg and the counterfeit Model A1265 for use in the US and Canada has Designed spelled Designd
