Beginning July 2005, all U.S. versions of Intuit's Quicken, QuickBooks and TurboTax desktop software have an authenticity hologram on the inner ring of each CDROM.
This new hologram shows the "Intuit" logo changing into the word "Authentic" as you tilt the disc under light. The hologram is present on all authentic discs that have been manufactured by Intuit or its authorized manufacturing partners.
If you don't see this hologram on a disc you obtained, that disc may be counterfeit and may expose your computer to significant risks.
Counterfeit software has been found to contain malware, viruses and password grabbers that may put your computer at risk and expose your identity and financial information to criminals.
This is a genuine Quickbooks CD. It contains a "intuit" hologram around the center of the disk,has green letters on white background and the the blue Intuit logo.

The obvious fake Quickbooks Pro was sold on ebay. The color scheme is incorrect and the disc lacks the hologram word "Intuit" and bar code around the center hole.
Quickbooks internal key identified the disk as counterfeit.
