The popular 8210 respirator is popular target of China counterfeiters. Working with 3M's anti-counterfeit products team, police found 18 locations where the phony masks were being produced, stored or sold. In recent raid on counterfeiters, police confiscated about 900,000 counterfeit 3M masks. Not only can counterfeit masks fail to perform as expected, counterfeit masks can cause allergic reactions.

Counterfeiters may produce a visually similar product, but it will ot perform as expected, and may put your safety at risk.

This is the 3M 8210 mask displayed on a China website showing what appears to be the authentic product.
When we ordered the product, we received a poor quality fake.
The counterfeit product we received is a much thinner material, and poorer quality product.
There are notable differences in font, language and construction.
The counterfeit 3M 8210 has a very porous foam nose seal. Visible in the photo is light showing through the nose foam seal - hardly effective in protecting the wearer from contaminants and particulate.
