Fujifilm has issued a warning to its customers after learning counterfeit rolls of its 35mm film.
Fujifilm says that the 35mm roll actually contained movie film. The fake rolls are illegally using Fujifilm's logo, and could potentially ruin other customers film rolls if developed in a lab.
The counterfeit products are packed with movie film inside the used 35mm canister and cannot be developed with the normal color negative film development process (CN-16, C-41). If the photo shop develops the counterfeit film, it may contaminate the developer which may lead to development failure of other customers.
Fujifilm advises the company bears no responsibility for any ruined photos or issues caused by counterfeit films, and that Fujifilm has taken the necessary steps to warn photo labs to look out for the counterfeit film products.

In addition to the 250D product shown, there is a possibility that there are different types such as 64D, 250T, 500T films that have been counterfeited.
In this example, there is a display of "electric shadow" which means "movie" in Chinese. There is no "electric shadow" notation in our regular products in the 35mm product line.
