Team Wendy was founded in 1997 by Cleveland-based entrepreneur Dan T. Moore as a memorial to his daughter Wendy, who passed away from a traumatic brain injury (TBI) following a snow-skiing accident.
Since the company's founding, Team Wendy has been largely focused on developing leading-edge products that serve to protect against serious and potentially life-threatening impact related injuries. Most notably, through its long-standing partnership with the U.S. Military and the National Industries for the Blind (NIB), Team Wendy has supplied our men and women in uniform with more than 5 million Zorbium Action Pad (ZAP) helmet pad systems since 2005.
In 2012, the company launched the EXFIL helmet platform, marking Team Wendy's return to the production of complete helmet systems.
